OLIVE TULSIGlimpses into Life with Saints

Author · Diary novels of the saints

Olive Tulsi “If you love the saints —
or are only beginning to —
you are welcome at this fire.”

I write diary novels of the saints — the Glimpses into Life with Saints series. Each volume walks beside a saint in their own century, told by someone who stood near them: a servant, a friend, a mother, a boy who failed the one he loved.

Every telling is followed by a full biography of the saint, with documented history and tradition honestly told apart — two books in one.

About Olive

A quieter kind of saint book

Not a summary. Not a lecture. A life, lived close — day by day, in the voice of someone who was there.

HOW EACH BOOK IS MADE

First comes the telling — a diary novel set inside the saint's own time and place, researched from the record and told through a witness close enough to love them, doubt them, and be changed by them.

Then comes the biography — the saint's life in full, in plain order, so you can hold the story and the history side by side.

Where history ends and tradition begins, the book says so honestly. Nothing is dressed up as fact that isn't.

Diary novel + biography History & tradition told apart In accordance with the Catechism

FROM OLIVE

“Each volume walks beside a saint in their own century — so you don't just learn what they did. You learn what it cost, what it felt like, and why they held on.”

Olive Tulsi is the public home for this work: the books on Amazon, the printable prayer helps in the Etsy shop GlimpsesWithSaints, and the daily saint stories and prayers shared across her pages.

Notes from Olive's desk

The saint of the day, kept lightly

No heavy daily blog to keep up — just the short saint notes Olive already shares each day, gathered here so a visitor can sit with a few. Three recent ones:

Original stained-glass-style artwork of Saint Zechariah and Saint Elizabeth, hand in hand beneath their halos — created for Olive's page in the manner of a church window

November 5 · Today

Saint Zechariah & Saint Elizabeth

The parents of John the Baptist — an old, faithful couple who waited a lifetime for a promise, and received a son who would prepare the way of the Lord. Their story is told in the first chapter of Luke's Gospel.

Saint Zechariah and Saint Elizabeth, pray for all who wait on God — that we wait as you did, without letting go.

Original stained-glass-style artwork of St. Charles Borromeo — the cardinal in red, arms crossed in prayer with a cross at his breast and a plague sufferer at his feet — created for Olive's page in the manner of a church window

November 4

St. Charles Borromeo

Archbishop of Milan (1538–1584). Made a cardinal at twenty-one, he gave up ease in Rome to shepherd Milan: he founded seminaries, began Sunday schools, and — when plague struck in 1576 and the powerful fled — he stayed, fed tens of thousands from his own purse, and walked the stricken streets bringing the sacraments to the dying.

St. Charles, pray for our bishops and priests — and for us, that we stay and serve where God has placed us. His telling is hoped for next year.

Original stained-glass-style artwork of St. Martín de Porres with his crucifix, rosary, and broom, a little dog at his feet — created for Olive's page in the manner of a church window

November 3

St. Martín de Porres

The humble lay brother of Lima (1579–1639), barred by the laws of his day from full profession for years, who became beloved for his care of the sick, the poor, and even the animals — a saint of quiet mercy and radical humility.

St. Martín, teach us to serve without needing to be seen.

WHY NOT A FULL DAILY BLOG?

Because Olive already speaks every day — a written saint blurb, a saint video, and an evening prayer. This page keeps the light version: the notes live here without adding another daily chore, and the full daily rhythm stays on her pages where her readers already gather.
